Get a woman started in business for $90

Once a woman has completed our training program, we will support her in the creation of her own enterprise.  This can be selling fish (like above), fruit, vegetables, crafts - anything she chooses.  We do this through local economic development groups so that the woman has peer support in her venture and in some cases, we will extend credit to a group that takes in a fistula survivor.  This helps reintegrate the fistula survivor and also socializes the rest of the group to the cause. 

Please know that 100% of your donation goes to programs that empower local people. Here are some examples of how we will spend your $90:

1. •Hiring local social and micro-finance workers to administer grants and loans
   

2. •Giving grants or loans to individual women
   

3. •Giving well priced loans to women’s groups who take in fistula survivors
   

4. •Paying group fees for fistula patients we insert into groups
   

In all these activities we only use local people to affect change and we work to build economies of scale (meaning the more people we can help, the less it costs to help each of them individually).
